Fire breaks out at Admiralty Primary School

SINGAPORE — Fire broke out in the toilet of a primary school in Woodlands in the early hours this morning (Oct 20). There were no injuries and no evacuation was required, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.

SINGAPORE — Fire broke out in the toilet of a primary school in Woodlands in the early hours this morning (Oct 20). There were no injuries and no evacuation was required, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.

SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at Admiralty Primary School in 11 Woodlands Circle at about 2am. SCDF officers gained access into the school using “forcible entry tools” and extinguished the fire with a water jet, it added.

Huge flames and a tall plume of smoke could be seen from photos posted online by netizens.

According to SCDF, the fire started in a toilet at the administration block of the school. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, SCDF said. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
