SINGAPORE — A fire broke out at a block at Singapore Polytechnic this evening (July 16).
SINGAPORE — A fire broke out in a staff office at Singapore Polytechnic this evening (July 16).
According to Singapore Polytechnic, the fire broke out at 7.25pm at Teaching Block 2 Level 5.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received a call at 7.35pm about a fire incident at the polytechnic, said a spokesman.
SCDF said the fire involved contents of an office, and was extinguished at 8.30pm using two water jets.
Two fire engines, two red rhinos, three support vehicles and two fire bikes were sent to the campus.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There are no reported injuries.
"Classes will not be affected by the incident and will continue as scheduled tomorrow at different locations," said the polytechnic.
