SINGAPORE — Seafood restaurant chain Fish & Co said it will shut its Glasshouse outlet at Park Mall in June. According to a statement issued yesterday (Jan 20), the outlet was opened in 2002 and is the chain’s most popular outlet.

To commemorate its closure, Fish & Co will hold various activities at the outlet till June. Each month will see a different theme: April has been set aside for the needy and underprivileged, while activities in May will celebrate Mother’s Day. Details of these activities will be released at a later date.

The outlet is located right beside Park Mall, which is slated to be redeveloped into a commercial development comprising two office blocks with an ancillary retail component. This follows the sale of the office and retail complex at Penang Road near the Orchard Road shopping belt for S$411.8 million. It had previously been acquired by Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust in 2005 for S$245.1 million.

Park Mall, which has a large number of lifestyle and home furnishing shops, is more than 40 years old with a remaining land lease tenure of 53 years.
