Free clinic for lower-income, elderly kicks off in Jurong

More than 200 lower-income residents and elderly received free treatment for chronic diseases at Jurong Central yesterday as part of Project Big Heart, which will operate community clinic services every three months. The one-year pilot project, jointly organised by the Jurong Central Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Grassroots Organisations, Fullerton Healthcare Group and Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong), will provide free consultation and medicine to lower-income residents with chronic diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes. Beneficiaries must hold either a Community Health Assist Scheme or a Pioneer Generation card.
