SINGAPORE – In a move to make data more accessible to the public, the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS) unveiled the launch of the Singstat mobile application today (Nov 25).

The free app will provide users with easy access to key official statistics in the form of some 200 charts from 25 data categories, including Gross Domestic Product, Population, Prices, Labour, Manufacturing, Services and International Trade.

“Users can also customise the viewing of the statistics to display information of their choice, such as by data frequency and presentation of data,” the statement said.

DOS says user feedback will also be allowed via the Agile development approach to enhance user experience.

Users can download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
