SINGAPORE — Households using City Gas will pay more for their town gas from next month till the end of July.
SINGAPORE — Households using City Gas will pay more for their town gas from next month till the end of July.
City Gas, which supplies town gas to almost 90 per cent of the residents living in new Housing and Development Board estates and private properties, said today (April 29) that gas prices for households will increase by 0.3 per cent from 21.01 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) to 21.08 cents per kWh in the three-month period.
This is due to a rise in fuel costs compared to the previous quarter. This will increase the average monthly gas bill for a 4-room flat by S$0.06, City Gas said.
The gas tariffs are based on guidelines issued by the Energy Market Authority, the gas industry regulator. Gas prices were previously lowered by 0.8 per cent in the previous quarter.
