Headless body case: Murder suspect to undergo psychiatric evaluation

SINGAPORE — The 25-year-old man accused of decapitating a 33-year-old woman will be remanded further for psychiatric evaluation today (Dec 27).

SINGAPORE — The 25-year-old man accused of decapitating a 33-year-old woman will be remanded further for psychiatric evaluation today (Dec 27).

Indian national Gursharan Singh was charged in court on Dec 20 with the murder of Jasvinder Kaur, also an Indian national. He is accused of committing the murder at 228A Balestier Road between Dec 10 and Dec 12.

Gursharan is alleged to have committed the offence with the woman’s husband, 33-year-old Indian national Harvinder Singh. Authorities are currently looking for the woman’s husband to assist with police investigations.

The police were notified at about 7.30am on Dec 12 that a body was seen in Sungei Whampoa, near Blk 110 McNair Road. They found the deceased’s head missing and both hands were severed from the wrists. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
