SINGAPORE — The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has alerted the public to more concerns surrounding the Herbal Health range of products by Ace Nutrition International.

After earlier warnings issued on the product Herbal Health Jointcare, investigations found that six more products contained undeclared ingredients.

The products are Herbal Health Backplus 500mg, Herbal Health V+, Herbal Health RU Special Cream, Herbal Health YI Special Cream, Herbal Health JI Special Cream and Herbal Health XIANG Special Cream.

Among the products, Herbal Health Backplus was found to contain tadalafil, while Herbal Health V+ contained both tadalafil and sildenafil as undeclared ingredients. Both tadalafil and sildenafil are used to treat erectile dysfunction. Herbal Health Backplus is intended to relieve back muscles and lower backache, and Herbal Health V+ is intended to improve physical strength and stamina.

The other products claimed to treat various skin conditions but did not list any active ingredients on their labels. HSA testing found that they contained undeclared medicinal ingredients which included an anti-allergy ingredient and anti-fungal ingredients.

The HSA has seized the products from the company’s premises at Kallang Pudding Road and stopped all sales of the products.

Members of the public using the products have been advised to stop using them immediately, and to seek medical advice if they feel unwell. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
