SINGAPORE — The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) on Thursday (April 28) warned the public about a fake ICA website that has been phishing for visitors’ visa application numbers and passport numbers. The ICA has made a police report over the website, www.immisg-mom.in.

The authority assured that “access to the official ICA website remains unaffected and no data has been compromised”.

“ICA takes a serious view of such fake websites as they undermine public trust in our system and processes,” said the ICA. It advised the public to use only the official ICA website at www.ica.gov.sg.

The ICA has also issued warnings in recent months over at least four other fake ICA websites. Most of the websites have since been taken down, although as of Thursday evening one of the sites (http://singaporevisagov.com/tracking-visa/) could still be accessed. When contacted, ICA said it is working to take down the website as well.
