Minah, 37, allegedly killed Madam Tay Quee Lang, 78, at around 2.10pm that same day.
The victim was found with injuries to her neck in the living room of a fifth-storey flat at Block 276 Tampines Street 22.
Police said previously they received a call for assistance at 2.10pm on Monday.
Paramedics pronounced Mdm Tay dead at the scene.
Appearing in court on Wednesday in a black-and-white striped top, Minah was represented by Mr Nasser Ismail.
The defence lawyer, who was engaged by the Indonesian Embassy on Tuesday, told reporters outside court that he had only spoken briefly to Minah and she was quite shocked by the incident.
She will be remanded for psychiatric evaluation at Changi Women’s Prison and will return to court on March 8.
If found guilty, she faces the death penalty.
