Israel PM Netanyahu to visit Singapore on Feb 19: Report
SINGAPORE — Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to visit Singapore on Feb 19, reported the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday (Jan 18).
According to the Israeli newspaper, Mr Netanyahu is scheduled to be in Singapore for two days before leaving for Australia.
The trip follows Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s trip to Israel last year, as part of a week-long Middle East visit.
PM Lee had visited Israel last year between April 18 and April 22, where he met Mr Netanyahu, the leader of the opposition Isaac Herzog and former President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shimon Peres.
Mr Lee also visited the Palestinian Territories, where he was hosted to lunch by Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority Rami Hamdallah.
