SINGAPORE — Music performances, a display of birds from the Wildlife Reserves Singapore and a guided nature walk are just some of the programmes that visitors can look forward to during the Hari Raya Istana Open House on Sunday (June 25).

The official residence and office of the President will be open to the public from 8.30am to 6pm to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa, said the President’s Office on Thursday.

Entry into the Istana – located near Dhoby Gaut MRT – is free for all Singaporeans and permanent residents, while a S$2 per person entrance fee is required for all other visitors.

Visitors can pay to join guided tours of the Istana grounds that depart every 20 minutes from 9am to 3pm.

Those who would rather explore the grounds at their own pace can also download the Istana Garden Walk mobile application, which includes a map of places of interest and plant trails.

The Istana Heritage Gallery (IHG) at the Istana Park (opposite the main gate of the Istana along Orchard Road) will also be open from 10am to 6pm.

All fees and proceeds from the sale of Istana souvenirs will go towards charity.
