SINGAPORE — The electricity tariff for households will go down from 26.08 to 25.65 cents per kWh in the first quarter of 2014.
On average, for families living in four-room HDB flats, that means the monthly electricity bill will decrease by S$1.65.
In general, SP Services said in a statement on Monday that electricity tariffs will decrease by an average of 1.7 per cent or 0.43 cents per kWh.
It said the tariff reduction is due to the lower cost of natural gas used for electricity generation, which fell by 2.6 per cent compared to the previous quarter. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
