SINGAPORE – An Indonesian maid has been arrested for murdering a 77-year-old woman with a knife.
Police arrested the 37-year-old woman on Tuesday (Feb 14). In a media update, police said she will be charged in court with murder on Wednesday.
The elderly woman was found dead with injuries on her neck at Block 276 Tampines Street 22 on Monday afternoon, after the maid had alerted a neighbour about the incident, who then called the police.
If found guilty, she faces the death penalty.
