Danial Liaqat Ali may face more charges.
In a press release on Tuesday, the police said it received several reports between Dec 7 and Dec 10 of items such as shoe racks, a table and chairs being flung down the same block where Danial allegedly hurled the can of sardines.
For this charge, Danial allegedly committed the offence on Dec 7 from the living room of a unit on the 16th floor of Block 52, Cassia Crescent, which is near Guillemard Road.
Danial, who was arrested on Tuesday, has been remanded to assist with further investigations. He will appear in court again on Dec 20.
If found guilty of the offence of committing a rash act, Danial could receive up to six months’ imprisonment and a maximum fine of S$2,500.
