Man arrested for trepassing, stealing from a church

SINGAPORE — A 52-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly trespassing and stealing from a church along Telok Blangah Road.

SINGAPORE — A 52-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly trespassing and stealing from a church along Telok Blangah Road.

Four laptops, estimated to be worth more than S$4,000 in total, were missing. A church staffer filed a police report on Saturday afternoon (March 18).

Police identified the suspect through investigative follow-ups and CCTV footage. He was then arrested along Maritime Square on Sunday at about 4.40am.

The man will be charged in Court on Monday with the offence of house trespass in order to commit theft. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 7 years and shall also be liable to fine.
