The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to an accident involving a taxi and a car along Yishun Ave 1 towards Yishun Avenue 8 at 3.59am.
The 27-year-old driver of the red McLaren sports car and the 56-year-old driver of the blue Comfort DelGro taxi were conscious when they were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, the police said.
TODAY understands that the taxi driver was able to exit his vehicle and walk following the accident, while the injuries of the sports car driver is not life-threatening.
TODAY also understands that this is not a case of drink-driving.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Images seen from videos posted on social media showed that the McLaren suffered extensive damage to the right side of the vehicle.
The taxi, on the other hand, appeared to be hit at the rear. The accident also took out a sign post at a bus stop.
