MOE to open 5 more kindergartens in 2016

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Education (MOE) will open five more kindergartens in 2016, Education Minister Heng Swee Keat announced today (Feb 17), on the sidelines of a visit to the Kindergarten@Punggol View to commemorate Total Defence Day.

SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Education (MOE) will open five more kindergartens in 2016, Education Minister Heng Swee Keat announced today (Feb 17), on the sidelines of a visit to the Kindergarten@Punggol View to commemorate Total Defence Day.

This brings the total number of MOE-run kindergartens to 15.

Four of the kindergartens will be located within existing primary schools, while one will be within the community.

The new kindergartens will be located at:

1) Blk 470A Fernvale Link

2) Northoaks Primary School in Sembawang

3) Riverside Primary School in Woodlands

4) Springdale Primary School in Anchorvale Link

5) Westwood Primary School in Jurong West

They will operate over two sessions a day and follow the MOE school term. The new kindergartens will also all have Kindergarten Care (KCare), or full-day services for those enrolled in them.
