MPA to seek feedback on LNG bunkering operations

SINGAPORE — The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has completed a study on the technical standards and procedures for liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operations.

SINGAPORE — The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has completed a study on the technical standards and procedures for liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operations.

The study, which was carried out with consultants Lloyd’s Register, covered areas including safety standards, emergency procedures and personnel competency standards.

In a statement today (Nov 7), MPA said it will be organising industry consultation sessions to share the results of the study with the maritime industry, and to seek its feedback.

Following the feedback exercise, it will finalise the LNG bunkering standards for the Singapore port, added the statement. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
