Muslim Singaporeans should continue to move forward together: Yaacob Ibrahim

SINGAPORE — Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim said Muslim Singaporeans should strengthen ties, continue to work hard and move forward together to build a cohesive society and nation.

SINGAPORE — Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Yaacob Ibrahim said Muslim Singaporeans should strengthen ties, continue to work hard and move forward together to build a cohesive society and nation.

In his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message, Dr Yaacob said Muslim Singaporeans have come a long way since independence, and are now in a better position to push for the next level of development for the community.

He added that bringing people together to do good irrespective of the creed or nationality of the beneficiaries is a principle anchored in the religion.

Dr Yaacob, who is also the Minister for Communications and Information, wishes all Muslim Singaporeans “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri” and “Happy National Day”. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
