Nepal quake: Singapore C-130 with medical team lands in Kathmandu
SINGAPORE – Another C-130 military plane from Singapore, this time carrying a medical team from the Ministry of Health, landed in Kathmandu today (May 2).
SINGAPORE – Another C-130 military plane from Singapore, this time carrying a medical team from the Ministry of Health, landed in Kathmandu today (May 2).
The team is made up of three doctors and four nurses, and is set to remain in Nepal for up to two weeks. It will boost the current capacity of the Singapore Armed Forces’ (SAF) team of doctors that are already here.
Meanwhile, SAF doctors are continuing to treat villagers in Gokarna, a town in the outskirts of Kathmandu.
DART, the elite team of Singapore Civil Defence Force is setting up base in the Gorkha region - the epicentre of the earthquake.
