News from TODAY now on Facebook Messenger
We are introducing a new way for you to get the top stories and breaking news alerts from TODAY. And it’s as simple as sending us a message on Facebook Messenger.
Dear readers,
We are introducing a new way for you to get the top stories and breaking news alerts from TODAY.
And it’s as simple as sending us a message on Facebook Messenger. From our Facebook page's message centre, send us the word "news" or "alerts" to get the latest. Breaking news alerts and story links will come to you through push notifications or straight into a chat window.
Or, follow one of these two simple methods:
1. IF YOU ARE ON YOUR SMARTPHONE
- Open your Facebook app, go to TODAY's page and send TODAY a message, type in "news" or "alerts"
2. IF YOU ARE ON YOUR COMPUTER
- Open a web browser, and go to www.facebook.com/todayonline
- Click the “Message” button on the top right (next to the “Like” button)
- If you want the latest news stories, type “headlines” or “news”
- If you want articles on a particular topic, type in the topic (eg: “Singapore”, “SGX”)
- Need help or reminders? Type “help”
We will add more features in future as we improve the service, but remember: You’re always in control. If you want to stop news alerts, type “unsubscribe” or “stop alerts” in the chat window.
