SINGAPORE — Good news for aspiring superstars: The deadline for Asia’s Got Talent online auditions has been extended from Wednesday (May 31) to June 8.

The organisers say the entries seen so far have been promising and believe there is more talent yet to be discovered, and as such have decided to extend the deadline.

“We’ve witnessed some incredible acts over the last few weeks that really show the cultural diversity and range of awe-inspiring talent on offer here in Asia. But we know there’s even more to be discovered so we’ve extended the deadline to June 8 to give performers some more time to get their acts together,” said Virginia Lim, Senior Vice President and Head of Content, Production and Marketing, Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia.

Aspiring superstars can visit www.AXN-Asia.com/AsiasGotTalent to submit an application and audition video, which should include a short introduction of the act, and the actual performance. The videos need to be kept under two minutes.

The prize money for the eventual winner is US$100,000 (S$140,440).

Asia’s Got Talent is slated to premiere in the second half of this year on AXN.

The winners of the previous season in 2015 were shadow play performers El Gamma Penumbra, from the Philippines. That year, the judging panel comprised Anggun, David Foster, Melanie C, Vanness Wu.
