SINGAPORE — As of 10pm today (Oct 27), 109 contestants are still standing on day two of the MediaCorp Subaru Challenge despite having to brave the heat and rain.

The competition, which is in its 12th year, kicked off yesterday with 400 contestants battling it out for the top prize of a car worth S$85,000.

They will have to keep their hands on the cars as long as possible because the last remaining hand wins the top prize, but will get five-minute breaks every six hours.

Last year’s winner took home his prize after a gruelling 78 hours and 30 minutes.

The record time of 81 hours and 32 minutes was set in 2008. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
