Parents’ toolkit on character development launched

SINGAPORE -Some 4,000 sets of the first-of-its-kind Parents’ Toolkit on Character Development were given out at the launch of the toolkit by Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing at the TOUCH Family Festival 2013 earlier today (May 27).

SINGAPORE -Some of the 4,000 sets of the first-of-its-kind Parents’ Toolkit on Character Development were given out at the launch of the toolkit by Acting Minister for Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing at the TOUCH Family Festival 2013 earlier today (May 27).

The Parents’ Toolkit, produced by TOUCH Character Development of TOUCH Community Services, contains practical ideas and strategies to help parents in developing positive character values in their children.

The Parents’ Toolkit is targeted at parents of primary school children and contains three booklets. One of the booklets is on Performance Values, which helps to develop children in the areas of responsibility, punctuality and self-discipline.
