The people behind FM Solutions and services

In hammering for answers from the Workers’ Party (WP) relating to its town council’s transactions with related parties, ministers Khaw Boon Wan and K Shanmugam cast the spotlight on three Aljunied-Hougang-Punggol East Town Council (AHPETC) staff — Mr Danny Loh Chong Meng, his wife How Weng Fan (picture) and Mr Yeo Soon Fei.

The couple are friends of party chief Low Thia Khiang. Long-time WP supporters, they were assentor and proposer to the WP slate in Ang Mo Kio GRC in 2006.

Mr Loh and Ms How were respectively appointed as secretary and general manager of AHPETC in 2011, but have been involved with WP-run town councils before that.

Ms How worked for Mr Low’s Hougang Town Council in the 1990s, while her husband used to provide lift maintenance and rescue services to the town council.

Seven days after the WP won in Aljunied GRC in the 2011 General Elections, Mr Loh set up FM Solutions and Services (FMSS) to replace CPG Facilities Management as AHPETC’s managing agent.

An FMSS shareholder, Mr Yeo was appointed AHPETC deputy general manager.

Mr Loh also set up a sole proprietorship, FM Solutions and Integrated Services, which provides services to AHPETC.
