PM Lee ‘glad to be fully back at work’

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong says he is “glad to be fully back at work” after having undergone surgery on Feb 16 to remove his cancerous prostate gland.

In a Facebook post today (March 3), Mr Lee thanked his followers for all their “good wishes over the last two weeks”.

He wrote that he was “touched” by the “thoughtful messages and cards” from residents and community leaders of Teck Ghee and Yew Tee, as well as students of Cedar Girls’ Secondary School, Spectra Secondary School and St. Patrick’s School.

Mr Lee included pictures of the gifts that he had taken. They included a book of messages and cards wishing him a speedy recovery, and origami cranes.

Mr Lee was also present in Parliament today for the Budget 2015 debates.
