PM Lee, ministers send condolences to Indonesian leaders on Medan plane crash

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has sent his condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo following yesterday’s (July 1) military plane crash in Medan. Some 141 people were reported killed in the crash.

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has sent his condolences to Indonesian President Joko Widodo following yesterday’s (July 1) military plane crash in Medan. Some 141 people were reported killed in the crash. Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen also wrote to their Indonesia counterparts to express their sympathies.

Dear President Jokowi,
 
I was saddened to hear of the tragic crash of the military plane in Medan on 30 June 2015. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Singapore, I extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. Our heartfelt sympathies also go to those who were injured in this tragic accident.

I was deeply saddened to learn about the crash of the military C-130 plane in Medan on 30 June 2015 which took all 113 lives on board the flight, and also resulted in some ground casualties.
 
My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who perished in the crash. Our thoughts are with the government and people of Indonesia at this time of sorrow.

Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of lives as a result of the tragic accident involving a C-130 Hercules plane in Medan on 30 June 2015. My thoughts are with the family members of the victims, and MINDEF and the SAF are deeply saddened by their loss.
