SINGAPORE — A primary school girl ended up in hospital after her male classmate, nine, added liquid hand soap to her drink.

According to a Lianhe Wanbao article on Friday (March 24), the girl suffered from “a fever and bouts of vomiting” after consuming the contents of her water bottle.

Responding to queries by TODAY, the police confirmed that a report has been lodged and investigations are ongoing.

Lianhe Wanbao reported that the boy had done it to help another female classmate take revenge on the victim, following a falling out between the girls.

All parties involved are Primary 3 pupils at a school in Jurong.

Quoting the victim’s father, the newspaper wrote that the maid noticed while she was washing the water bottle that it had a “strong smell” of soap.
