SINGAPORE — Donning masks, some 137 people in search of love attended a mass speed-dating event today (Feb 6), setting a record in the Singapore Book of Records for the largest speed-dating in mask event.

The masks were used to help self-conscious singles step out of their comfort zones and to remind participants to look beyond one's exterior when getting to know a potential partner, said event organiser CompleteMe.

The event, held at the YMCA, was attended by 66 were women and 71 were men.

"I hope that this masked speed-dating event will allow the participants' personalities to shine through," said Ms Michelle Goh, the founder of CompleteMe.
