SINGAPORE — After a highly successful event last year, the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge will be hoping to set a new record turn-out when it makes its return on April 24 this year.

Last year’s event attracted a sold-out crowd of 16,500 participants from 400 companies, and organisers this year are keeping their fingers crossed that they can beat the figure in the 11th edition of the event, which will also mark JP Morgan’s 50th year of doing business in Singapore.

Registration for the Challenge has already commenced and companies are encouraged to register early.

Similar to previous editions, this year’s 5.6km Challenge will start on Esplanade Bridge with a finish line adjacent to the Formula 1 Pit Building. Each company must register a minimum of four employees with no maximum. All skill levels are welcome — racers, joggers and walkers.

The winners of the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Divisions at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge will earn an invitation to the 2015 JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, which will take place next year on a date and location to be determined.

Last year’s team champions in Singapore were Singapore Prison Service (men), Baker & Mckenzie.Wong & Leow (women) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (mixed). They have been invited to compete at the 2014 JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship in London on July 9.
