SINGAPORE — Nine suspects, aged between 20 and 30, have been arrested after the death of a 31-year-old man.

The Police received a call for assistance along 3E River Valley Road at Clarke Quay on April 16 at 4.13am.

The victim was conveyed to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and was subsequently pronounced dead at SGH on April 19 at about 9.58am.

Three suspects were charged in court Thursday (April 20) for rioting with a deadly weapon. If convicted, they may be jailed up to 10 years, and are liable to be caned.

Three more suspects will be charged on Friday for the same offence. Investigations against the remaining three suspects are still ongoing.
