SINGAPORE — Blogger Roy Ngerng has been summoned to appear today (Oct 21) at the police headquarters for questioning.

Mr Ngerng is being investigated for his part in the Return Our CPF rally held at Hong Lim Park earlier this year on Sept 27.

Participants of the rally had allegedly heckled attendees of a YMCA carnival being held on an adjacent lawn, including special needs children.

Earlier today, Mr Ngerng posted on Facebook: “I have been asked to go to the police station at 2.30pm today to be investigated for illegal assembly, for speaking up for our CPF.”

Both events — Return our CPF and the YMCA’s Proms @ the Park — had been given approval to be held at the Speaker’s Corner on Sept 27 and had been allocated separate lawns.
