SAF promotes over 500 personnel

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has promoted more than 500 personnel.

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has promoted more than 500 personnel.

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen presented certificates to the SAF personnel at a promotion ceremony yesterday (June 27) at the Ministry of Defence.

Chief of Army, Brigadier-General Perry Lim, was promoted to Major-General.

The exercise is an effort to recognise, reward and groom personnel who have performed well and demonstrated potential to contribute further to the SAF.

All promotions will take effect from July 1. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
