SINGAPORE — A police investigation will be conducted into the death of a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman yesterday (April 17).
Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Jude Sebastian Vincent, 49, was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was found unconscious at Stagmont Camp, said the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) in a statement issued at close to 3am today.
After he was found unconscious, MWO Vincent had been immediately evacuated to the Stagmont Medical Centre and arrived at about 10.35am. An SAF Medical Officer attended to him immediately, said the Ministry.
MWO Vincent was then sent to National University Hospital at 11am, via an SAF ambulance, and arrived 15 minutes later.
“The SAF Medical Officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital. MWO Vincent was pronounced dead at 11.54am at NUH,” said MINDEF.
“The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late MWO Vincent. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief,” said MINDEF. “A Police investigation will be conducted.”
