SBS bus ends up against traffic flow at Yio Chu Kang Road

SINGAPORE — An SBS bus ended up against the flow of traffic after it was involved in an accident with a car along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Serangoon Central on Friday (July 7) morning.

SINGAPORE — An SBS bus ended up against the flow of traffic after it was involved in an accident with a car along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Serangoon Central on Friday (July 7) morning.

The Police were alerted to the accident at 10.06am, and the 54-year-old bus driver of the SBS bus service 72 was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

A video of the aftermath of the accident was posted on Facebook page Roads.SG, showing the shattered windscreen of the bus.

According to Roads.SG, the bus also knocked down a stretch of railings along the road before coming to a stop in the middle of the three-lane road.

Traffic police motorbikes were at the scene diverting traffic.

TODAY understands that the driver is a Singaporean male, and was sober at the time of the accident.

Police investigations are ongoing.
