KUALA LUMPUR – Team Singapore has secured their best-ever South-East Asian (SEA) Games medal haul in the sport of synchronised swimming, after they emerged as the winners of the team free routine at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil stadium on Sunday evening (Aug 20).

The Republic secured the gold in the event after putting on a sublime performance which saw them scored 75.1333 points. Hosts Malaysia clinched the silver with 73.0667 points, while Indonesia (71.4667 points) took home the bronze.

The victory means that Singapore’s synchronised swimmers have now won three gold medals, following earlier victories in the solo free and duet technical routines.

The country’s previous best SEA Games medal haul was two gold – in the team and free combination events – which they achieved in 2015 on home soil.
