Second suspect involved in Geylang death charged with murder

The District Court heard that between 6.50am and 7.43am last Sunday, Bangladeshi national Mollah Hassan had allegedly murdered 42-year-old Singaporean Lim Leong Tat near Geylang Lorong 24A.
Lim was found dead in a back alley and TODAY understands he suffered injuries on his head and upper body.
The police have also arrested three other suspects in relation to this case.
Rana Sohel, 35, had been charged in court on Tuesday with the offence of voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
Court documents showed that the Bangladeshi had punched Lim's face and slammed the victim’s head on a pavement with three other accomplices sometime between 7am and 7.30am last Sunday.
Investigations into the third suspect, who has been arrested, is ongoing.
On Friday evening, the Police said a fourth Bangladeshi suspect has been arrested. The 29-year-old will be charged in court on Saturday (July 15) for murder. If convicted, he faces the death penalty.
