Sengkang and Tampines bus interchanges to be expanded
SINGAPORE — Sengkang and Tampines bus interchanges will be expanded to include parking bays for 12 more buses each as well as other features for passengers and staff, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA) today (Nov 25).

Passenger boarding and alighting facilities, a concourse area, offices, a staff lounge and a canteen will be built. Both interchanges will remain operational while undergoing expansion work.
Sengkang bus interchange’s expansion will be built along Compassvale Road, and will be connected via an existing covered linkway to the Sengkang Integrated Transport Hub. The expansion is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of next year, the LTA said.
Tampines bus interchange’s expansion will be built along Tampines Concourse. A new covered linkway will also be built to facilitate commuter flow to the new expansion. The expansion is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of next year, the LTA said.
