SINGAPORE — What does Singapore look like from space? 

US astronaut Tim Kopra took this picture of Singapore from the International Space Station (ISS) on the night of March 19. The orbit of the ISS is about 350 km above the Earth.

 

Areas like Orchard Road heading down towards Marina are distinctly brighter than other spots. Changi Airport and the port at Pasir Panjang also stand out.

Expedition commander Kopra has been on the International Space Station since December 2015. He is scheduled to return to Earth in May.
