In a statement, MFA confirmed that there are no reports of Singaporeans directly affected or injured in the incident so far.

Condemning the bomb attack at the Kampung Melayu Bus Terminal in East Jakarta, MFA extended its condolences to the victims' families.

"The Singapore Embassy is working with the Indonesian authorities to monitor the situation closely," the MFA added. Singaporeans who need urgent consular assistance should contact the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta or MFA duty officer at +62 (811) 863 348 and +65 6379 8800/8855 respectively.

Three Indonesian police officers were killed in the attack by two suspected suicide bombers. Ten people were also injured in the twin blasts, which detonated five minutes apart.

There are concerns in the world's biggest Muslim-majority nation about a surge in radicalism, especially from militants inspired by the Islamic State.
