According to Bernama, 30-year old Sim Qiu Yan had gone to Tioman Island with eight other Singaporeans on April 17.
They were said to have rented a boat from a company in Mersing for diving.
The report said the woman’s body was taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for post-mortem.
When contacted, a Singapore Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson said it has not been approached for assistance for this incident. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
