A Malaysian news report said Esa Badri lost control of his motorcycle as he was negotiating a corner along the North-South Expressway Central Link, also known as ELITE Expressway.
It quoted a district police chief superintendent as saying that early investigations showed the motorcycle skidded to the left side of the road.
The report said Esa’s wife was seriously injured and was sent to Putrajaya Hospital.
It added that they were part of a convoy returning from Krabi in Thailand, and were on their way to Singapore.
Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is aware of the incident and has rendered consular assistance to the bereaved family. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
