Singapore’s dependency on IT warrants robust cyber security framework: Masagos

As Singapore moves towards a Smart Nation, where Singaporeans can access daily services and data through smart devices, our vulnerability to cyber attacks will increase, he added.

Mr Masagos was speaking at the GovernmentWare Conference and Exhibition this morning (Sept 23). The three-day event at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre will see 70 local and foreign speakers giving insights on latest developments in the information technology industry.

Robust information sharing and cross-sector cooperation can enhance resilience against these attacks, he said. These efforts must also be sustained through training, recruitment and retainment of cybersecurity professionals, said Mr Masagos.
