SINGAPORE – Following two disruptions in a week, a comprehensive system review will be done on the SingPass and CorpPass systems.

In a statement on Sunday (Feb 11), the Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech) said it is doing “preventive maintenance” on both systems from 10pm on Sunday to 8am on Monday.

“During this period, services will not be available to the public,” the statement read.

Users of the two Government’s identity authentication systems experienced two days of intermittent service outages last Thursday and Friday.

Thursday's disruption lasted about six hours while Friday's outage lasted three hours before both SingPass and CorpPass were restored.

GovTech reiterated on Sunday that “both incidents were not cyber security-related” and it has “investigated and replaced some server hardware”.

“We thank all users for your understanding,” it added.
