SINGAPORE — The official website of City Harvest Church co-founder and pop singer Ho Yeow Sun, popularly known as Sun Ho, was hacked this morning (Sept 2).
City Harvest Church said it filed a police report this afternoon.
The hacker, who went by the name “The Messiah aka U.P”, poured scorn on the millions from City Harvest Church funds allegedly spent on Ms Ho's music career.
The hacked website this morning featured a long, rambling message directed at her about her “hidden agenda”. It ends with the warning: “You do not want to displease me any further, especially since I could be the second coming.”
Six church leaders are currently facing corruption charges in an on-going multi-million dollar criminal trial. City Harvest co-founder Kong Hee, Tan Ye Peng, Chew Eng Han (who has left the church), Serina Wee Gek Yin, John Lam Leng Hung and Sharon Tan Shao Yuen are accused of misappropriating S$24 million of City Harvest Church funds via sham bonds issued by Xtron and PT The First National Glassware (Firna).
The six are also accused of misappropriating another S$26.6 million to cover up the first amount.
The hacker's messages on the singer's site http://www.heyaosun.com have since been taken down, but the original site has yet to be restored.
