• Fees for national examinations will be waived. Families can save up to S$900 from primary school to pre-university.
• Examination fees will also be waived for Singaporeans enrolled full-time in polytechnics and the Institute of Technical Education.
• Top-ups to Child Development Account, Edusave Account and Post-Secondary Education Account.
• Families on the Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme will receive a transport subsidy to cover at least half of students’ transport costs. This extends to public transport for all students and school buses for primary school students.
• Annual grants for school-based financial assistance will go up over the next three years to give schools more resources to provide targeted assistance for needy families.
• Additional S$6 million grant will be disbursed over the next two years to self-help groups which have been assisting children from needy families.
