SINGAPORE — A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman in a lift.
At about 12.20am today (March 2), a 19-year-old woman informed the police that she had been molested by an unidentified man in a lift at Yishun Street 72.
He was arrested at Yishun Avenue 4 on the same day at about 1.50am.
Police said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect might have followed the victim after they both alighted from the same bus.
The suspect will be charged in court tomorrow for outrage of modesty. If found guilty, he could be jailed for up to ten years and could also be caned. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
