The man was bleeding profusely when he was arrested on the ninth floor of Block 505 at Tampines Central 1. The dead woman was found in a seventh floor unit at Block 503.
He was charged with murder at the Changi General Hospital, where he was warded.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the man and the dead woman, both Chinese nationals, were a couple, but it is unclear if they were married to each other.
The woman’s age has yet to be determined.
The two are believed to have rented the unit at Block 503 with other tenants. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
