SINGAPORE — The 37-year-old man arrested for the suspected murder of a woman at Tampines has been charged, the police said on Thursday (Dec 18).
The suspect, who was bleeding profusely when arrested, was charged with murder at Changi General Hospital where he was warded.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the man and the dead woman – both Chinese nationals – are a couple but it is unclear if they are married to each other. The two are believed to have rented a unit with other tenants on the seventh floor of Block 503 in Tampines Central 1.
The woman, whose age has yet to be determined, was found in one of the bedrooms of the unit and pronounced dead by paramedics. The suspect, who had earlier fled the unit, was found on the ninth floor of Block 505 – about 30 metres opposite the block where he lived. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
